Judy Cassab

Judy Cassab is an Australian living treasure. Born in Vienna, Austria in 1920, she moved to Australia in 1950 and settled in Sydney.

Cassab’s unique and distinctive style is as evident in her portraiture as in her abstract work. Cassab was the first women to win the Archibald Prize twice, in 1960 for a portrait of Stan Rapotec and again in 1967 for a portrait of Margo Lewers.

Cassab has held numerous solo exhibitions in Australia, Paris and London. Her work is held in major galleries and in private collections both in Australia and overseas.
