Description
David Larwill’s work is synonymous with stylised figures and animals in child like forms which are often mixed with slogans. These are all elements combined with intense colour and a clever use of collage that contribute to Larwill’s works which possess a complex vibrancy and sophistication.
Larwill was part of the ‘Roar’ movement, a group of art students who minimised their contact with the art establishment to forge ahead with their own artistic endeavours.
Larwill is represented in major Australian public and private collections.
