We have secured a large number of original BBC story board illustrations used in a 1970’s episode of the long running children’s (and adult) favourite Jackanory.
Illustrated and signed by by Peter Rush and numbering 55 in total, these would have amounted to a whole story which was run each day through the week as 15 minute programs. The storyboards were put on an easel during the recording of the program which was read by popular celebrities of the time such as Kenneth Williams and Bernard Cribbins. The camera switched between the reader and the storyboard. A popular effect was to pan across the illustration which gave a motion effect.
This is a great opportunity to own a piece of television history, we will offer discounts for bulk purchases of 3 or more storyboards. Contact us for more details, order online or inspect at the gallery.
Please note that viewings are by appointment only.
